Just a line to say that your article was an interesting attempt to show off your cleverness, but which, unfortunately, only succeeded in displaying your ignorance.
The game theory discussion may have value and serve a worthwhile purpose, I am not smart enough to decide.
However, I am certain that Sgt. Crowley was forced to accept Obama's invitation both by his own sense of preservation and under orders from his superiors.
How on earth could an ordinary white police officer refuse an apparently amiable offer from a black President without stirring up even more of a hornets' nest?
Please place yourself in Crowley's shoes, and then step forwards and deny an outwardly simple Presidential request .. you would be a very brave or foolhardy fellow.
Sitting on the side lines, proclaiming Crowley's response as a mistake, is outrageous.
Move out of your world of intellectual fantasy and get real.
You owe the Sgt. both an immediate public retraction and a groveling apology.
